Reserved Seating for Grain Valley High School
Varsity Football Games

Grain Valley is making available a limited number (275) of reserved seats in a chair-back section of the multi-purpose facility for football. These will be available for all home football games, including any state playoff games Grain Valley might host. These reserved seats will be individually identified by row and seat number.

General Rules

1. Missed or late mailing/payment deadlines shall immediately move that application/applicant to the bottom of the priority list.
2. Each household shall be allowed to apply for no more than six (6) reserved seats per year.
3. Seating shall be for one (1) varsity football season only. Each year, new allocation/assignment of reserved seating shall occur with no importance given to the previous year’s seating assignment.
4. Reserved seating is only good for varsity football games played at Grain Valley High School. Other sporting events shall not have reserved seating.
5. Only individuals (not businesses/organizations) may submit an application for reserved seating.
6. Each reserved seat purchased shall allow entrance into GVHS Stadium for varsity football games. ALL RESERVED SEAT HOLDERS MUST HAVE THEIR TICKETS WITH THEM TO ENTER THE GAME. NO RECORDS OF RESERVED SEATING WILL BE KEPT AT THE GAMES.
7. Reserved tickets do not include admittance to district/state playoff games played at Grain Valley due to MSHSAA rules and regulations. ALL individuals with reserved seating must pay for entrance into the stadium for each playoff game. However, those with reserved seating, once paying for entrance into the game, will have the same reserved seats as during the regular season.
8. On each ticket will be the location of the seat reserved. ALL RESERVED SEAT HOLDERS MUST HAVE THEIR TICKET WITH THEM TO OCCUPY THAT SEAT DURING THE GAME.
9. All requests to be seated near or next to other seat holders will be recorded ONLY IF THE FORMS OF EACH REQUEST ARE RETURNED TO GRAIN VALLEY IN THE SAME ENVELOPE. NO MORE THAN FOUR (4) HOUSEHOLD REQUESTS CAN BE RETURNED TOGETHER. (See note on priority seating on next page.)
10. Reserved seating may NOT be resold for any purpose.
11. Grain Valley School District reserves the right to deny any person a reserved seat if it so deems. All rights to and actual reserved seating is the property of the Grain Valley School District, and may be forfeited by the purchaser if found in violation of district policies and procedures, or for actions/behavior of the seat holder and/or guest while attending the Grain Valley event.

Priority of Seating—lottery drawing for seats.

Orders postmarked by Aug. 13,2022, will go into a lottery drawing for initial seat allocations. ALL ORDERS must be received by mail and postmarked by Aug. 13, 2022.

The following is the priority as to the allocation of seats from the top row down:
1) Senior parents
2) Junior parents
3) Sophomore parents
4) Freshman parents
5) Administration, faculty, staff of Grain Valley School District
6) General population

PLEASE NOTE: If you send your request in with other families, your seats will be assigned together as they are drawn from the pool of requests. HOWEVER, they will be drawn in priority according to the lowest number on the list in the above groups. For example, if three senior families are stapled together with a sophomore family, that group’s request will be prioritized as a sophomore request, NOT a senior request.

Game Procedure

During varsity football games, crowd management personnel will supervise seating and crowd control issues in the stadium. The only information the crowd management personnel will be knowledgeable of is that the person holding the reserved seat ticket is the individual entitled to sit in that seat. PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

1. Each reserved seat purchased shall allow entrance into the stadium for varsity football games. ALL RESERVED SEAT HOLDERS MUST HAVE THEIR TICKETS WITH THEM TO ENTER THE GAME. NO RECORDS OF RESERVED SEATING WILL BE KEPT AT THE GAMES.

2. Each ticket lists the row and seat number of the reserved seat. ALL RESERVED SEAT HOLDERS MUST HAVE THEIR TICKET WITH THEM TO OCCUPY THAT SEAT DURING THE GAME. Adult reserved seat ticket holders must retain the reserved seat ticket for any minor child.
